The future of karaoke is in the past.

So a long long time ago there was a karaoke hosting software that was before its time. It was so good, that even 13 years after its last build (October 20th 1013) nothing even comes close to what it did. What did it do that was so amazing? Let's start with the most important.

It got rotation right.

-Never mind that it supported 6 styles of file organization.

-Never mind that it used Open Sound Control and could do neat tricks like control a video mixer across the room.

-Never mind that it integrated with the now defunct Tricerasoft store.

-Never mind that it was written whole from the perspective of making life as good for the singers, and as easy for the KJ's as possible.

It did the most important thing of all, rotation, right. Something software today still seems woefully inadequate for. Is that a bold claim? It's only bold to those that have never used Q-Up.

So if it's so great, then why has nobody ever used or heard of it? Simple answer, it never got released to the public, but that's all about to change now.
