Settings-AutoFiller-Plugin

AutoFiller Configuration

Keeps music going when the rotation runs dry. Instead of silence between singers — or you scrambling to queue something — AutoFiller tops the queue up automatically from your own library.

Useful at the start of a night before anyone has signed up, during a lull, and at the end when the list has emptied but people are still in the room.

Enable AutoFiller — Turns it on. When on, QUP watches how much is left to play and adds more before it runs out.

Source

Use all filler — Draws from your entire filler library.

Playlist — Draws from a specific QUP playlist instead, so you can curate exactly what gets played automatically. Different rooms want different filler.

New playlist… — Creates a playlist to fill from.

Genre — Restricts what gets picked to a genre. This relies on your library being tagged — see the Genre Tagger.

Search — Finds particular tracks to add.

Behaviour

Destination — Whether tracks go to the Filler playlist (the background music player) or into the Karaoke playlist itself. Filler is the usual choice: it plays between singers and ducks away when a real song starts. Sending tracks to the karaoke playlist puts them in the main rotation as filler entries.

Shuffle — Picks at random rather than in order.

No repeat — Avoids playing something again until the pool has been worked through. Worth leaving on; nothing marks an empty room like the same four songs cycling.

Fill Now — Tops the queue up immediately rather than waiting.

Notes

AutoFiller only adds when the queue is running low, so it never competes with real singers. As soon as people are queueing again it goes quiet on its own.
