QUP Karaoke Engine 2.18.2 — portable build (Linux x64)

REQUIRES: a Java 25 JDK on your PATH. A JRE is NOT enough -- QUP's window
toolkit needs the jdk.unsupported.desktop module, which JRE images leave out.
  Debian/Ubuntu: sudo apt install openjdk-25-jdk
  Fedora:        sudo dnf install java-25-openjdk-devel
  Arch:          sudo pacman -S jdk-openjdk

If you would rather not install Java at all, use the AppImage or the .deb --
both carry their own Java and need nothing from your system.

RUN:  ./run.sh

TILING COMPOSITORS (Hyprland, Omarchy, Archcraft, sway): run.sh already sets the
Java window-manager flag these need. Hyprland draws no title bars and tiles new
windows by default, so QUP draws its own bar on Preferences and you may want a
couple of windowrulev2 lines. See docs/linux-tiling-wm.md in the QUP source, or
qupkaraoke.com/support. Every QUP window reports WM_CLASS "QUPKaraokeEngine";
the singer display reports "QUPKaraokeEngine-CDG" so you can send it to the
projector on its own.

Everything else — app, libraries, JavaFX, native audio, plugins — is bundled in
this folder. Your database and settings are written here too, so keep this folder
somewhere writable (your home directory is fine).
