QUP Karaoke Engine v2.17.0 is out.
Bitmap skins. QUP's windows can wear a skin pack now: images for the buttons, knobs, faders, meters and title bars, not just colours. Brushed Steel comes with it (Preferences > Skin & Layout > Bitmap Skin). Meters and knob rings take the skin's colours, a Quality setting keeps it light on older computers, and Preferences, the About box and the singer display never change.
The Player comes apart. Undocked, each section is its own window that snaps to the others and remembers where you put it; docked mode uses the same arrangement. Windows > Reset layout puts everything back.
Smoother video and DJ waveforms. On Windows the singer display now draws with the graphics card in step with the monitor, and MP4 videos no longer jump back and forth. In DJ mode the waveforms scroll one step per screen refresh, zoom with the mouse wheel and grow with their window, and the EQ knobs light from the centre.
Also: KaraFun integration, per-deck cue level and QUANTIZE, and much cheaper level meters on older computers.
